One of the classic lunch spots in Shreveport to get Louisiana cuisine. Many local professionals frequent Jacquelyn’s; definitely a place to see and be seen for lunch. Pictured is the combo platter with jambalaya, red beans and rice, and shrimp étouffée, (served with warm buttered bread). Shrimp salad and chicken salad are simple but delicious and are also local favorites. (PS: Iced tea is the best in town!)

One of my Shreveport favorites! Wonderful Southern food! Friendly service! After I’ve been away living in Austin they remembered me when I walked in. Must visit local favorite! I always get the trio sampler, a little of the best of everything.

I had the gumbo. And as a local and lifetime Louisiana native it was fabulous! It wasn't spicy, but it had great flavour and was dark the way my grandma always made it. We were well taken care of despite coming in an hour before close. They even accommodated hearing a bottle for my baby. Must definitely will be back whether I stay to eat or take to go!
